Crepe Börek Recipe

Ingredients (1 cup = 200 ml)
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 3 cups + 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon salt
Mix all the ingredients together and whisk well. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve. And that’s it!
For the filling:
- 300 g ground beef
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- Spices of your choice
- (such as black pepper, red pepper, cumin, etc.)
- Optional: Chopped parsley
- Preparation
Prepare the crepe batter:
In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, egg, water, and salt. - Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.
- Strain the batter through a fine sieve for a smooth consistency.
- Prepare the filling:
Cook the ground beef and chopped onion in a pan.
Add your preferred spices and mix well. - Optionally, add chopped parsley to the filling for extra flavor.
- Cook the crepes:
Heat a non-stick pan and pour a thin layer of the crepe batter. - Cook only one side of the crepe, not both.
Once the crepe is cooked on one side, place the filling on the cooked side.
Roll and seal the crepes:
Lightly wet the edges of the crepe with water to seal it properly. - Roll up the crepe with the filling inside.
- Fry the crepes:
Heat a generous amount of oil in a deep pan. - Fry the crepes until they are golden brown and crispy.
