Savory Chicken and Rice

With this recipe, we are using an electric pressure cooker, to speed up the cooking process and give it a savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • Organic Chicken Thighs (2-4) Frozen (skinless/boneless)
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Thyme
  • 2 tablespoon Dried Onions
  • 2 tablespoon Dried Scallions
  • 1/4 teaspoon Majoram Leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sage
  • 1 cup of washed rice ( white)
  • Salt/Pepper for flavor ( optional)
  • 1 cup of diced carrots ( optional)
  • 3/4 cup Organic Chicken Broth

Mix ingredients, put in a steamer with frozen chicken, add liquids last.

Set steamer on high, set pressure on

Set time to forty minutes. ten minutes , per piece of frozen chicken.

ALWAYS – Let Steam Pot sit for ten minutes after done.

Steam is very hot, I use a wooden spoon to release pressure, to release any steam before trying to open the steamer. Always let your steamer sit for ten minutes always after each cooking process before opening.

HINT – If cooking fresh instead of frozen, you can cut your cook time down to 30 minutes, then let sit for 10 minutes before releasing steam.

30 Minute Veggie Soup

A simple and fast veggie soup, that everyone loves with your electric or stovetop steamer!

Ingredients

Original recipe yields 16 servings

Ingredient Checklist

  • 1 (14 ounce) can chopped or sliced carrots (low sodium)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can whole kernel corn (low sodium)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can green beans (low sodium)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can peas (low sodium)
  • 1 (32 ounce) can stewed tomatoe (low sodium)
  • 2-4 cups of vegitable broth (low sodium)
  • Salt/Pepper for flavor ( optional)
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 2 clove garlic (diced)

Stir all ingredients together in your electric steamer.

Add salt and pepper to taste. (optional)

Set steamer to pressure

Set steamer on high

Set timer to 30 minutes, hit start

After done, let sit for at least 10 minutes

Release steam carefully ( I use a long wooden spoon push to release pressure) if you want to eat soup now. *Will take 1 hour to release steam naturally.

Stir and serve!

The Best Black-Bean Soup

Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 large carrot peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 15 ounce can organic low sodium black beans
  • 1 14 ounce box oragnic low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked ham (cubed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • ground black pepper ( to taste)
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded/low fat)
  • 1 cup sour cream (low fat)

Instructions 

  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, or until tender.
  • Add in 1 of the cans of black beans and the chicken broth.
  • In a blender, puree the other can of black beans until smooth then add into the pot. Bring soup to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  • Stir in ham, cumin, salt, and pepper and allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Garnish with Cheddar cheese and sour cream to serve.

This is a simple recipe that makes any salmon into a delicious meal for lunch or dinner. Can be cooked on a stovetop or in the oven, and yes even your air fryer ( use oven directions).

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Blackened Seasoning
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon each salt & pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

  • Combine seasonings & brown sugar in a small bowl.
  • Rub seasoning over fish and pan fry or bake in the oven as directed below.
Stove Top
  • Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add the seasoned fish fillets and cook 3 minutes per side or just until done (do not overcook).
Oven
  • Turn broiler onto high and place oven rack on the top.
  • Line a pan with foil and add seasoned fish fillets
  • Broil for 3 minutes.
  • Flip fish and additional 3-4 minutes until tender and flaky. Do not overcook.
Air Fryer
  • Turn air fryer to broiler setting. Set to high and place rack on the top slot.
  • Line a pan with foil and add seasoned fish fillets.
  • Broil for 3 minutes.

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • Place the cauliflower florets into a large bowl of lightly salted water; allow to stand for 20 minutes. Drain well, and arrange on a sheet of heavy aluminum foil on a baking sheet. Spray the olive oil cooking spray evenly on the cauliflower.
  • Preheat the oven’s broiler and set the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  • Broil the cauliflower until browned, 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large soup pot, and cook the onion until translucent, about 5 minutes; stir in the garlic and roasted cauliflower. Pour in the water, season with salt and black pepper, and simmer until all the vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
  • Blend the soup in the pot with an immersion hand blender until creamy and smooth.

How To Make Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff

Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff has its origins in Eastern Europe and is basically just any sautéed beef dish served with a sauce enriched with sour cream.

This recipe uses a few classic ingredient additions, such as mushrooms and plenty of onion and garlic, along with a few modern twists for flavor like cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce.

It might not be the most completely authentic version, but it is without a doubt the most delicious. Plus, thanks to the Instant Pot, it is insanely easy to make, requiring almost no time at all.  

Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff Ingredients

Make sure you look at the recipe card at the very bottom for the exact amounts, as there are a few fiddly ingredients here.

• Beef stewing meat

• Salt

• Ground black pepper

• Flour

• Canola oil

• White onion

• White mushrooms

• Garlic

• Beef broth

• Worcestershire sauce

• Egg noodles

• Sour cream

• Cream cheese

• Minced parsley

Cornstarch Slurry

• Cold water

• Cornstarch

How To Make Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff

• Whisk together the salt, pepper, and flour

• toss the cubed beef in the flour mixture until coated

• Press the sauté button on your instant pot and heat the oil

• Add in the onions and sauté for 5 minutes until they begin to soften

• Add the floured beef and cook until evenly browned for about 3-4 minutes

• Sauté the garlic until fragrant

• Slowly pour some of the beef broth into the bottom of the pot, scraping off all of the browned bits and onions, deglazing the bottom until it’s cleaned off. Don’t remove the beef; just scrape underneath it

• Add in the mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, and any remaining beef broth

• Change the Instant Pot to manual setting, adjust the pressure to high, and set time for 20 minutes

• Once it’s done, use the quick-release and then stir in the egg noodles

• Set to high for a further 5 minutes

• Once done, release with quick-release again, and then check the liquid, thickening with cornstarch slurry as needed

• Once thickened, stir in the sour cream and cream cheese until melted, and then season with salt & pepper and serve hot
